Lyme Disease Rash

Not everyone bitten by a Lyme carrying tick gets the Lyme disease rash. Many people will not get a rash when bitten by a tick carrying Lyme. (Getting a rash indicates the person has had Lyme already present in their system, due to a prior infection or bite).

The Lyme disease rash is what is referred to as a “bull’s eye” as depicted by a red ring around the bite location.

Lyme disease rash may look like the “bull’s eye” or just a circular rash.

Further evidence suggests that those people who are bitten the SECOND time by a Lyme carrying tick will develop the Lyme disease rash, as the Lyme already present in the body is recognizing itself from the second bite.
